The “Cultivating the Humanities and Social Sciences and Supporting Under-represented Scholars of Asia” (CHSS) is managed by the Association for Asian Studies. Its duration is five years, starting 1 March 2022 to 28 February 2026

Association for Asian Studies

The Association for Asian Studies (AAS) is a scholarly, non-political, non-profit professional association open to all persons interested in Asia and the study of Asia. With approximately 6,500 members worldwide, representing all the regions and countries of Asia and all academic disciplines, the AAS is the largest organisation of its kind.

Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency

Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia (RUPP)

Important update on CHSS activities in Cambodia

Following a decision by the Swedish funding authorities, CHSS is no longer able to transfer project funds directly to Cambodian national institutions. As a result, the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), which has served as the CHSS Hub in Cambodia during Phase I of the project, will not continue in this role during the next phase of implementation.
