Asia and Africa and their contemporary challenges in the globalized world

Between November 20 and November 24, 2023 the 18th International Congress of the Latin American Association of Asia and Africa Studies took place in San Jose, Costa Rica. Over two days, more than 200 academics from 27 countries gathered to present their research and discuss the state of Asia and Africa studies on our continent.

Below are photos taken in San Jose, on the occasion of the XVIII congress of ALADAA in Costa Rica. The first is a group picture which features most of the representatives of the 13 Chapters of ALADAA.
